"When it came to putting together this fit, I first looked at the colors in the tie. I wanted the stripes on the shirt to pair back to the petals on the flowers and then the best contrast to red in my opinion is navy so I primarily stuck with shades of it for the rest of the fit. Finally, I took a look at the texture of the tie (which is a heavier woolish type material). With that I knew that a heavier textured waistcoat would be the best option to bring it all together. Finally, I also wanted to show that you don't necessarily have to wear a suit or sport coat to wear a tie. There are other ways to dress up (here being with a field jacket and waistcoat)."
